Autobiographical Soup
Born blind, slow, forgetful, pink and generally helpless, Gary struggled for years to overcome his disabilities. He’s now only slightly nearsighted and only a bit helpless. The pinkish shade has faded, but the mental challenges remain somewhat of a hurdle. Nonetheless, he continues to get better and better with each passing day. He’s now a pretty normal guy who is in the design trade by day, but by night… well, he’s pretty much the same thing, just sleepier.
Ahem, a little more seriously.
I studied at the University of California, Davis, majoring in Design - Visual Communications. Since graduation, I’ve been working at a gaming news and review site, GameDaily.com. I dabbled in a little bit of photography in my free time, as well as freehand illustration and t-shirt design. You can see some of them in my portfolio, I’m particuarly proud of the Ghost Cameras Shirt, I think it’s one of my best illustrations to date.
I’ve moved the photos over to headoverheels.org as of Jan 2007; the reason being I’d like to put more effort in to photography and I think making a daily photo site (or trying to, fingers crossed) would help motivate me to shoot more, we’ll see how that goes.
I’ve got a Resume as well!
If you’re interested in contacting me about any opportunities, here’s a little more about my skills and abilities:
